A two-county food distribution in the Eastern Upper Peninsula handed out 1,300 boxes of food Thursday. The Chippewa, Luce, Mackinac Community Action Action gave out 1,000 boxes in Sault Ste. Marie and 300 in St. Ignace. Volunteers loaded up the food, and there was no financial requirement. Click here for the full story and video.

As part of the Eastern Upper Peninsula United Way Reading Buddies Program, included was Dr. Martin Luther King’s message of kindness.
