Sault Ste. Marie Dial-A-Ride gets you around Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan with a modern lineup of public transit services tailored to make your trip fast, comfortable and economical. Since March 29th of 1974, Sault Dial-A-Ride has provided “curb to curb” public transportation in Sault Ste. Marie. The intent of the shared ride system is for patrons to call for a ride and then share the ride with others who are grouped with them to their destinations.
New Line Haul service began September, 2020 offering another alternative to catch the bus that will pick-up and drop-off at set bus stop locations throughout town. No Service on Holidays and during times of Inclement Weather. Please tune into local radio and channel news for unscheduled closures
Masks are required prior to entering the transit vehicle until further notice from the Michigan Department of Transportation, Office of Passenger Transportation, Michigan Public Transportation Association, and/or local Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Masks are available to passengers upon request while supplies last, and touch-less hand sanitizers stations are mounted near the point of entry on all vehicles. We continue to follow the recommended Covid-19 prevention measures per State, Federal, and Local guidelines.
All transportation vehicles are wheelchair & handicap accessible.

Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday 8:00am – 4:00pm
Sault Dial-A-Ride Dispatch Hours:
Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sault Dial-A-Ride Admin Hours:
Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

- Punch card of full fare tickets are $40.00 each. Each card contains 10 rides, with the eleventh ride free*
- Punch card of half fare tickets (senior, disabled, or student) are $20.00 each. Each card contains 10 rides, with the eleventh ride free*
- Single passes are available for $4.00 full-fare or $2.00 half-fare (Senior, Student, or Disabled)*
- Drivers are able to purchase future trips without the use of paper tickets. For example, a passenger may apply $20 of passes to their name or another passengers name with no additional charge.
- Please remember, all ticket sales are final and exact change is required. Thank you.
Thank you all for your help during the transition to our new fare structure. We will continue to adopt and adjust to modern transportation practices to keep fare passes affordable while offering more transportation options for our communities. We do not anticipate another fare increase in the foreseeable future.
Sault International Bridge Bus *Removed from Service due to Border Restrictions*
The bridge bus provides shuttle service between Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan and Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario.
The bridge Bus Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m – 4:00 p.m. U.S. Pick-up / Drop-off Locations & Times: 450 Court St. Bus Shelter (Behind Sault Tribal Office Bldg.) On the Hour Lake Superior State University, (Taffy Able Arena Bus Shelter) 5 Minutes Past the Hour CA Pick-up / Drop-off Locations & Times: Station Mall (North Entrance at Sault Transit Bus Stop Sign) 20 Minutes Past the Hour City Bus Terminal (Queen St. & Dennis St.) On the Half Hour International Bridge Bus Fare Rates: Single passes are available for $2.00 full fare or $1.00 half-fare (Senior, Student, or Disabled) Punch cards also available for Bridge Bus use (please see above) Canadian currency at par The Sault Bridge Bus is subject to U.S. and Canadian Customs. Please be prepared to provide valid identification in accordance with local, municipal, state, provincial, and federal laws. In the event of high bridge traffic volumes over 20 minutes, the Sault Bridge Bus will resume on the next hourly scheduled run.
